I am Jeff Cody, a fully licensed mortgage broker with Jeff Cody, Platinum Mortgages and Mortgage Architects, Ottawa. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
Since a young age, I have always enjoyed helping people. In school, I discovered I had a knack for numbers and went on to get a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, majoring in business from the University of Waterloo and obtained by mortgage broker license in 1988.
My thirty-plus years of financial background includes three years working for CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation), lending for several trust companies, business management experience and over thirty years of mortgage experience in the Ottawa area.
My vast experience and in-depth understanding of mortgages have allowed me to adapt to continual changes and advancements in my field. Thirty years of experience has additionally given me an extensive list of lenders with numerous mortgage products to suit every need and situation.
The most enjoyable part of my job is arranging mortgages for my clients and assisting them with their financial needs or seeing them buy the home they so badly want.
My philosophy is always to do what’s best for you regardless of my personal gain. Your needs are my priority.

Winning the award for the Canadian Mortgage Broker of the year was truly satisfying, and the experience continues to inspire me to strive harder to be the best.
When I am not at work, I enjoy ballroom dancing and spending time with my beautiful wife, who happens to double as my mortgage assistant. As a family, my wife and I also believe in giving back to society and, as part of that belief, do what we can to rescue, foster, and re-home abandoned and unlucky dogs.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
